The Department of Family and Geriatric Medicine has been serving the Louisville community since 1972, providing exceptional patient care and training future physicians in family, geriatric and sports medicine. With nationally recognized ACGME-accredited residency and fellowship programs, our department offers diverse educational experiences in both urban and rural settings, supported by dedicated faculty engaged at every stage of medical education. Our clinical practices deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals of all ages, with specialized services for older adults, athletes and those with musculoskeletal needs. Through a combined commitment to education, research and service, we are shaping the next generation of physicians while improving health outcomes in our community and beyond.
