We fully embrace the overlapping tripartite mission of academic medical centers: education, research and health care. On the education front, we house highly competitive residency and fellowship programs in both orthopedics and podiatry. The UofL Health - UofL Hospital is the largest Trauma I Center in the region, which not only provides high-quality care to the local community, but also provides a robust learning environment for trainees. In addition to their work at UofL Health - UofL Hospital, our physicians and trainees work throughout the UofL Health system as well as with other community partners like Norton Healthcare. We are at the forefront of both surgery and orthopedic research with a long history of advancing the techniques of orthopedic surgery with world-renowned surgeons.
