We Are Here For You
We have a fully dedicated Education Office, with a full-time Program Coordinator, to support and meet the needs of our residents throughout their training. Additionally, our Graduate Medical Education (GME) office provides strong backing to all residency programs, including access to a Resident Ombudsman. The Ombudsman confidentially addresses resident and fellow concerns, with a dedicated helpline that ensures a response within 48 to 72 hours.
The GME office, in collaboration with Campus Health Services, has also established confidential pathways for residents and fellows to access support for well-being and mental health. The University of Louisville is part of the JED Campus initiative, a nationwide program by The JED Foundation, aimed at enhancing student mental health and well-being.
Our residents and fellows have access to a dedicated in-house resident library, which is regularly updated with the latest pathology texts and resources. In addition, they benefit from 24/7 access to the Kornhauser Health Sciences Library, offering a vast range of medical literature and resources. Residents also have access to cutting-edge pathology study tools such as Path Dojo, Osler and others.
Recently, our residents moved into a new, state-of-the-art residency suite, fully equipped to support them in meeting the challenges of their training with everything they need for success.
