Leadership and Organization
Meet our dedicated leadership team, committed to guiding our organization with integrity, innovation and a shared vision for success.
Chair’s welcome
The University of Louisville, its School of Medicine and the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology have rich histories and traditions of academic excellence. Over 400 graduates have leadership positions throughout academia, government and industry. Our department hosts a National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded Center for Integrative Environmental Health Sciences and numerous NIH-funded training programs which support research projects and stipends for graduate students, undergraduate students, medical students and postdoctoral fellows. Pharmacology and toxicology are the ideal translational interface effectively bridging preclinical and laboratory-based investigations towards improving the health and well-being of the patients and populations. Our research and training programs include disease prevention, vaccine discovery and drug development in partnership with numerous centers and institutes, including but not limited to the Center for Integrative Environmental Health Sciences, the Superfund Research Center, the Alcohol Research Center, the Hepatobiology and Toxicology Center, the Envirome Institute, the Center for Predictive Medicine, the Brown Cancer Center and the Center for Cardiometabolic Science. We encourage you to learn more about our history and graduate programs.
Best wishes,
