Neuroendovascular Fellowship

The Department of Neurological Surgery is proud to provide this CAST-approved Neuroendovascular Fellowship for those looking to train under world-class faculty in an affordable and vibrant city.

Overview

The Neuroendovascular Fellowship is a 12-month clinical fellowship designed for applicants who have completed a U.S. neurosurgical residency with a minimum of 200 diagnostic angiograms during residency and are dedicated to a career in endovascular neurosurgery. Alternatively, we welcome applicants for a 24-month fellowship, with one year of “junior fellowship” preceding the CAST-approved year, for applicants who have completed one of the following:

  • Completed a U.S. neurosurgical residency without significant endovascular exposure
  • Completed a U.S. Neurology residency with additional fellowship training in vascular neurology/stroke
  • Completed a U.S. residency in diagnostic radiology with additional fellowship training in Neuroradiology.

Applicants with foreign residency training will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Curriculum
With an annual case volume of more than 1,000 cases, our Neuroendovascular Fellows are exposed to a broad array of cerebrovascular issues including strokes, aneurysm repairs & much more.
Facilities
Housed inside the Frazier Rehabilitation Institute, our fellows rotate through several leading facilities including UofL Hospital and Jewish Hospital to get hands-on experience under distinguished faculty members.
