Our Community
We value giving back to the community, both locally and globally.
Our Impact
Global Health
We partner with the organization KenyaRelief.org, whose mission is to rekindle hope for a new generation in Kenya through partnership between communities, uniting for a common good.
Our residents, attendings, CRNAs, surgeons and nurses, travel to Migori to provide surgical care for the Kenyan people. While on the ground, the team typically sees over 200 patients in addition to performing a multitude of surgeries/anesthetics.
Central High Pre-Med Magnet Program
We are proud to participate in the Central High School pre-medical magnet program. This initiative is giving students an up close and personal experience with a career in medicine. Students are able to shadow UofL physicians, including our faculty members at UofL Health-UofL Hospital.
Greater Louisville Medical Society Wear the White Coat
The Greater Louisville Medical Society’s annual Wear the White Coat program gives community leaders a behind-the-scenes look at the medical profession by pairing them with physician preceptors who they shadow in their practices. Through the experience, leaders from business, education, government, media and nonprofit organizations have the opportunity to exchange ideas for improving the health of the community.
