Overview
Our 12-month Forensic Pathology Fellowship at the Kentucky Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (KY OCME) offers a profound training experience across urban and rural settings. Fellows work closely with board-certified forensic pathologists, engaging in ~1,200 annual autopsy cases across 40 counties—including unique rural cases involving mining, farming and hunting-related deaths. The program offers death scene participation, courtroom exposure, rotations in forensic toxicology, anthropology and the state crime lab, plus regular didactics, slide review sessions and access to teaching files.
