AHEC
The Kentucky Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) is a collaborative effort to improve the recruitment, distribution and retention of health care professionals in medically under-served areas throughout the state commonwealth.
Central High Pre-Med Program
The UofL School of Medicine partners with Louisville’s Central High School for a Pre-Med Program. Students from 9th to 12th grade gain hands-on experience through a "mini-medical school," clinical rotations and mentorship, preparing them for careers.
2x Game Changers: Future healers
This program connects Louisville’s healthcare community with youth impacted by gun violence. Through mentorship, advocacy and compassion, it helps them heal from trauma, explore medical careers and build brighter futures for themselves and their co

Connect health care professionals with the right job. We work through our 54 Network Coordinators to create a ‘hub’ for jobs in rural and underserved areas across the country.
