University of Louisville Department of Pediatrics Announces 2026 Child Clinical and Pediatric Psychology Doctoral Interns
New interns join from three different PsyD and PhD programs February 23, 2026The University of Louisville (UofL) Department of Pediatrics is excited to announce it matched all three Child and Adolescent Psychology intern positions.
The 2026 incoming trainees include:
- Shivani Bathla who comes to UofL from the University of Houston-Clear Lake Combined Psychology PsyD Program
- Kaitlyn Kuger who most recently completed the University of Nebraska-Lincoln School Psychology’s PhD program
- Carolyn Tureaud who brings her training from the University of Arizona School Psychology PhD program
“We look forward to welcoming this new class of interns,” said Director of Training Kristie Schultz. “Each brings a unique perspective that will enrich our learning environment while strengthening our mission to provide exceptional, compassionate, and evidence-based care to children and families in our community.”
The current class of Child Clinical and Pediatric Psychology interns have all accepted Pediatric Psychology fellowships. Janie Contreras-Munoz will join Dell Children's, Shannon Cunningham joins Children's Hospital of Atlanta, and Jacqueline Sullivan will remain with UofL.
