Frankfort, KY - The Kentucky Eating Disorder Council named Dr. Brittany Badal the champion for the treatment and recovery from eating disorders. This is the first year the council has given out the champions award, intending to recognize individuals across Kentucky who do meaningful work around eating disorders.

Dr. Badal, an associate professor in the University of Louisville Department of Pediatrics, is responsible for creating the outpatient eating disorders clinic at Norton Children's Medical Group Novak Center for Children’s Health, which primarily serves children and families with Medicaid, filling a major gap in physician services to children with eating disorders.
