The University of Louisville Division of Pediatric Sleep Medicine is dedicated to advancing the diagnosis, treatment and understanding of pediatric sleep disorders through excellence in clinical care, research and education. Our faculty, trainees and staff share a commitment to improving the health and well-being of children and adolescents by addressing the critical role that sleep plays in overall development, physical health, mental health and quality of life.
Our division brings together nationally recognized experts from diverse clinical specialties who work collaboratively to provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for children with a broad range of sleep disorders. Through specialized clinical programs and coordinated care models, we strive to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered treatment that meets the unique needs of every child and family we serve.
Research and innovation are central to our mission. Our faculty are actively engaged in impactful clinical and translational research aimed at advancing the science of sleep medicine and improving patient outcomes. Through scholarly inquiry and multidisciplinary collaboration, we seek to better understand pediatric sleep disorders, develop innovative diagnostic and therapeutic approaches and translate discoveries into meaningful improvements in care.
Our commitment to academic excellence is reflected in a strong record of scholarly productivity, including national presentations, peer-reviewed publications and contributions to the advancement of pediatric sleep medicine. As our division continues to grow, we remain focused on expanding our clinical and research programs while fostering an environment that supports innovation, collaboration and scientific discovery.
We are proud to participate in the training of future sleep medicine specialists through our combined adult and pediatric Sleep Medicine Fellowship program. Fellows benefit from diverse clinical experiences, interdisciplinary learning opportunities and close mentorship from faculty who are leaders in their respective fields. Through comprehensive clinical training, research engagement and professional development, we prepare trainees to become skilled clinicians, educators and investigators.
Our faculty are also deeply committed to teaching medical students, residents and fellows through bedside instruction, conferences, mentorship and scholarly activities. By fostering intellectual curiosity and lifelong learning, we help develop the next generation of physicians who will advance the field of sleep medicine and improve the lives of children and families.
