Adult Congenital Heart Disease Fellowship Rotations
Our Rotations
Our adult congenital heart disease fellows experience various rotations, while developing skills in clinical care, teaching, and research. Our fellowship curriculum is flexible to accommodate variable prior training backgrounds (i.e. pediatric versus adult cardiology) and unique interests.
Internal Medicine Pathway Rotations
- ACHD Inpatient/Consult Service - 9-12 Months
- ACHD Cardiac Imaging - 3 Months
- ACHD Cardiac Catheterization - 2 Months
- Pediatric Cardiology/Adolescent Medicine - 2 Months
- ICU/CT Surgery - 1 Month
- ACHD Elective/Research - 6 Months
Fellows will take home and weekend phone calls intermittently; decreases from year 1 to year 2
4 weeks/year, during non-ACHD inpatient service months
1 day/week
- Cardiac Catheterization/Interventional Cardiology
- Cardiac Imaging (Echo/CT/MRI)
- Electrophysiology
- Advanced Heart Failure
As part of the program, fellows are expected to complete a research project. Norton Children’s Research Institute, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine, is made up of dedicated and experienced clinical researchers, coordinators, nurses, pharmacists and other staff. Fellows will have access to the resources and expertise provided by Norton Children’s Research Institute.
