Our Rotations
Our pediatric fellows experience various rotations, gaining expertise in many specialties while developing skills in clinical care, teaching and research.
- Orientation and transport: One month
- NICU: Two months (UofL Health - UofL Hospital)
- NICU I: Two months (Norton Children's Hospital)
- NICU II: One and a half months (Norton Children's Hospital)
- Research: Four and a half months
- NICU: Two months (UofL Health - UofL Hospital)
- NICU I: Two months (Norton Children's Hospital)
- NICU II: One month (Norton Children's Hospital)
- Research: Six months
- NICU: One month (UofL Health - UofL Hospital)
- NICU I: Two months (Norton Children's Hospital)
- NICU II: One-half month (Norton Children's Hospital)
- NICU III: One-half month (Norton Women & Children's Hospital)
- Research: Seven months (University of Louisville)
- NICU (Additional two weeks): Norton Women's and Children's Hospital
One month per year
- Fellows spend dedicated months for research, including time during clinic rotations.
- Fellows are encouraged to identify research interests and mentors early.
- A published research paper is expected by graduation.
