Overview
The Lovick C. Miller Post-Doctoral Psychology Fellowship, established in 1992 in honor of Dr. Miller, is a 1-year training program at Norton Children's Hospital. The fellow provides pediatric consultation-liaison (C/L) services for youth with medical and psychiatric conditions. This involves working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver care, including outpatient therapy for patients seen by the C/L service and participating in the Children’s Health and Illness Recovery Program (CHIRP) for adolescents with chronic health conditions. The fellowship includes weekly supervision, didactics and research opportunities.
Successful candidates must have a doctoral degree and internship from APA-accredited programs with a focus on pediatric psychology. The fellowship is housed within the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and offers access to additional training opportunities, including the LGBTQ+ Affirming Healthcare Series. The program is affiliated with Norton Children’s Hospital, a leader in health equity and pediatric care.
