General Pediatrics

We are deeply committed to advancing medical education, research and community engagement while shaping the next generation of pediatric healthcare professionals in the area of general pediatrics and dermatology. Our faculty plays a vital role in resident education, working closely with pediatric residents through a variety of teaching formats. We emphasize mentorship, evidence-based practice and longitudinal patient care, helping residents develop into well-rounded, compassionate clinicians. Academically, our division is engaged in a broad spectrum of research, including medical education, preventive care and child health policy. Faculty are active contributors and thought leaders in national pediatric organizations, helping to inform clinical guidelines, advocacy efforts and best practices in care delivery. In addition, we collaborate with a wide array of community partners to extend our impact beyond the academic setting, addressing social determinants of health and ensuring access to care for children and families across Kentucky and southern Indiana.
