We are committed to advancing academic medicine through a robust educational program, comprehensive clinical training and a wide-ranging research portfolio. Our faculty lead an extensive range of educational initiatives and are engaged in leadership roles within the university and regional and national organizations, reflecting our strong academic integration. We maintain a nationally recognized simulation program that promotes a culture of safety by identifying latent safety threats and supporting interprofessional education. Our fellowship program offers customizable tracks in ultrasound, quality improvement, medical education and simulation.

Explore Emergency Medicine

Our educational program combines didactic lectures, small group conferences and bedside teaching in the emergency department to equip trainees with the knowledge and skills to recognize and manage critically ill and injured children. Residents participate in all aspects of patient care. The division’s fellowship program prepares physicians for their careers through a comprehensive curriculum. Research is a cornerstone of our division’s academic mission, with active faculty involvement in a broad spectrum of projects that address critical issues in pediatric emergency medicine and child health.
