Neurodevelopmental Science

The Division of Neurodevelopmental Science is a vibrant academic unit dedicated to advancing care for children with neurological and developmental conditions through innovative research, comprehensive education, and impactful advocacy. Integrating the strengths of child neurology and developmental and behavioral pediatrics, the division addresses a broad spectrum of conditions—including epilepsy, autism, neuromuscular and neurogenetic disorders, stroke, and movement disorders—while also focusing on early childhood development, behavioral health and complex care coordination. In collaboration with Norton Children’s Neuroscience Institute, our faculty lead and participate in cutting-edge research, quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary training that spans the medical, psychological, cognitive and communication needs of children. We are committed to training the next generation of pediatric specialists through hands-on clinical education, academic mentorship and continuing professional development, including active engagement with national organizations such as the Society of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics.
