Welcome From Division Chief

Our team is actively engaged in a wide spectrum of initiatives designed to elevate clinical outcomes and enrich the patient and family experience in the ICU. From early identification and management of sepsis and ARDS, to optimizing resuscitation, airway management and extracorporeal support (ECMO), we are committed to delivering the highest standards of critical care.

Our faculty and fellows lead innovative projects in neurocritical and cardiac care, critical care nephrology and post-ICU outcomes, as well as the care of children with complex chronic conditions. We also take great pride in our efforts to improve communication, integrate palliative and end-of-life care and provide impactful simulation-based medical education and outreach through the Pediatric Provider Network.

With the growing use of point-of-care ultrasound and a strong focus on interprofessional collaboration, our division is shaping the future of pediatric critical care—one quality initiative at a time.
