The Department of Pediatrics offers a variety of pediatric training programs and serves as a key rotation site for all students at the UofL School of Medicine. Each year, the department trains more than 90 residents and 35 fellows and interns.

Fellowships & Internships
The Department of Pediatrics offers several subspecialty fellowships and internships that prepare physicians to deliver exceptional care, advance scholarship, and grow as clinician-educators.

Categorical Pediatric Residency
The Categorical Pediatric Residency Program offers diverse training in general pediatrics and subspecialties. It combines bedside training, didactics, mentoring and electives, preparing residents for various career paths in pediatrics.

We combine two exceptional categorical departments into an integrated residency. Our goal is to train well-rounded doctors who are able to care for and advocate for adults and children.
