The University of Louisville Division of Infectious Diseases is committed to improving health through patient care, research and education.

Research

Our faculty conduct clinical and population-based research focused on infectious diseases. From developing research questions to publishing findings, our teams contribute to research that expands knowledge and supports improvements in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases.

Research findings are shared with healthcare professionals, researchers and communities to support continued progress in infectious disease care and public health.

Education and Training

Our educational programs provide multidisciplinary learning and professional development opportunities for students, investigators, researchers and healthcare professionals.

Through education, mentorship and collaboration, we help prepare current and future healthcare professionals to address infectious disease challenges in a variety of clinical and research settings.

Patient Care and Services

Our division provides services focused on the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and management of infectious diseases. Faculty and healthcare professionals work together to provide evidence-based care that addresses individual patient needs.
