Dermatology Residency Program
Provides comprehensive training in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Residents gain hands-on experience with wide patient populations while learning from expert faculty.
Internal Medicine Residency Program
We strive to provide comprehensive education in general internal medicine in a supportive and challenging learning environment which fully prepares its graduates to practice compassionate and evidence-based medicine in a variety of settings.
Internal Medicine & Pediatrics Residency Program
Our goal is to train well-rounded doctors who are able to provide outstanding, compassionate clinical care to adults and children in a variety of settings while advocating for and leading within their communities.
Fellowships
Cardiology
A robust, clinically-oriented fellowship program. The program is very strong in clinical cardiology and offers training and extensive experience in all areas of invasive and non-invasive cardiology.
Electrophysiology
Our fellows will be equipped with the knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the requirements for certification in cardiovascular electrophysiology and provide in-patient care as well as consultative services under direct attending supervision.
Interventional Cardiology
Our trainees are educated to develop and demonstrate competence in the procedural skills, clinical knowledge, judgment and most importantly the professionalism required to become an academic interventional cardiologist.
Dermatology
Train with leaders in Mohs surgery and cosmetic dermatology. Experience cutting-edge techniques, expert mentorship and a vibrant city experience prepare you for a standout career.
Endocrinology
We offers a two-year training program designed to provide advanced training and experience for trainees to acquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes and experience required for all of the competencies needed by a consultant in endocrinology.
Gastroenterology
Our program provides unique individual mentoring for continued growth of internal medicine skills, development of gastroenterological cognitive/procedural skills and clinical/bench research in gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition.
Infectious Diseases
The educational program utilizes clinical material, faculty and in-patient and out-patient services. We partner with a Ryan White funded HIV clinic which allows for a broad exposure in disease pathology and patient mix.
Oncology/Hematology
Our training program includes an extensive clinical experience at the Brown Cancer Center. By the end of fellowship, the fellow will have seen virtually every tumor type, oncological problem and benign and malignant hematological disorder.
Nephrology
Fellows have the opportunity to experience and become proficient in all aspects of nephrology including inpatient and outpatient general nephrology, hemo and peritoneal dialysis, renal transplantation, interventional nephrology and renal pathology.
Palliative Medicine
As the first palliative medicine fellowship offered by a Kentucky university, we have been training palliative and hospice medicine physicians for almost 20 years. Our fellows are caring for a wide patient population across the region.
Pulmonary/Critical Care
The goal of the program is to prepare fellows for a career in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine by providing extensive clinical training, basic or clinical research experience and teaching responsibilities.
Sleep Medicine
The fellowship training experience emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach to sleep medicine. It encompasses rotations in adult and pediatric sleep and research, with elective offerings in pulmonary, psychiatry, neurology and sleep dental.
