Overview
We are committed to elevating endocrine and diabetes care throughout the greater Louisville region, while serving as a leader in medical education and physician training. Our comprehensive program prepares Internal Medicine physicians for subspecialty board certification through advanced, hands‑on clinical experience.
Led by Dr. Sri Prakash L. Mokshagundam, our division is a driving force in educating the next generation of clinicians. Residents in Internal Medicine, Neurology, Med-Peds, and Family Medicine receive exceptional didactic and clinical instruction from our expert faculty, and medical students gain immersive exposure through rotations in both clinical and research settings.
Our team conducts innovative basic and clinical research, leveraging molecular and cellular biology, human physiology, and clinical trials to advance new therapeutic approaches.
As leading consultants in Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Diabetes, our specialists provide state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment services across UofL Health – UofL Hospital, the Robley Rex VA Medical Center, UofL Health – Jewish Hospital, UofL Health – Frazier Rehab Institute, and Norton Hospital.
