Overview

The University of Louisville Division of Infectious Diseases organizes the only comprehensive Clinical Research Internship to provide participants with immersive learning opportunities in clinical research. This university approved internship offers a combination of in-class, hands-on and project-based learning in all aspects of the clinical research process.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrate English language proficiency
  • Provide documentation of personal financial support in the amount of $1,200 USD per month
  • Provide proof of Repatriation and Medical Insurances
  • Available for a 1-year dedicated schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00a - 4:30p

  • Letter of Intent
  • Personal CV
  • Letter of Recommendation 1
  • Letter of Recommendation 2
  • Copy of Certified Translated School Transcripts (English)
  • Copy of Certified Translated Degree (English)

Ongoing Interviews

  • Remote interviews will be conducted using Teams Video Conferencing Software

The process below is ONLY required for applicants requiring a VISA - This process will start once you have been admitted into the program

Personnel Profile

  • Copy of picture page of passport (including dependent(s) if applicable)
  • Financial Support documentation (Bank Statement or Proof of Sponsorship for a personal amount of $1,200 USD per month, plus dependent(s) amount up to $5,000 USD per year)

Confirmation of address for DS2019

  • Mailing address MUST represent your physical address to receive mailed documents
  • Review DS2019 for accuracy and pay the SEVIS I-901 Fee $220 for J-1 Scholars

Proof of Insurance Requirements

  • Required upon VISA confirmation
  • Proof of Repatriation Insurance
  • Proof of Medical Insurance (including dependent(s) if applicable)
  • Proof of Medical Evacuation Insurance
