Plastic Surgery Fellowship

Our ACGME-accredited independent plastic surgery program offers three years of training in aesthetics, trauma, pediatric, hand and adult reconstruction, with research and sub-specialty opportunities.

Overview

The independent track is a three-year plastic surgery program. Our program has been ACGME-accredited since 1973. Our fellows will rotate on aesthetics, trauma, pediatric/clefts/craniofacial, hand and upper extremity and adult reconstructive surgery. There are also opportunities to rotate with plastic surgery sub-specialties in such areas as head and neck, oculoplastic, primary burn care and reconstruction (adult and pediatric). We have a strong commitment to academics and require active participation in research.

Our program is designed to provide fellows with a comprehensive clinical experience and knowledge of the basic and advanced principles plastic surgery. Our mission is to train conscientious, compassionate, caring, thoughtful and competent plastic surgeons that are well versed in scientific analysis and research principles. Our trainees graduate with the confidence knowledge and experience to meet any professional challenge.

Fellows gain expert clinical experience at the major hospitals within the medical center campus, spanning several blocks of advanced facilities, along with the nearby Veterans Administration Medical Center, just two miles away.
