Welcome
We are proud to welcome you to a dynamic and growing division where clinical excellence, innovative research and a commitment to education come together to shape the future of colorectal care.
Our faculty bring nationally recognized expertise in the management of inflammatory bowel disease, fecal incontinence, colorectal cancer (both primary and recurrent), and a wide range of anorectal disorders. Their dedication to teaching has enriched the training of medical students, residents and fellows alike.
In support of our educational mission, we offer a one-year ACGME-accredited fellowship in Colorectal Surgery. This program emphasizes one-on-one mentorship and provides comprehensive, hands-on experience across the full spectrum of colorectal disease management—including advanced re-operative surgery, endoscopy, laparoscopy, anorectal surgery and anorectal physiology.
Research is a vital part of our division’s identity. The growth of our academic efforts led to the creation of the Digestive Surgery Research Laboratory, where innovation thrives. Research fellowship positions are available and in the past five years alone, three fellows have completed PhD degrees as part of their training. We also encourage the involvement of medical and undergraduate students, who are welcomed and supported in their pursuit of meaningful research experiences.
Whether you are a student, trainee, or collaborator, we are excited to have you join us as we advance colorectal care through education, research and compassionate patient care.
